- API key identifiers
Email address retention. Email addresses you submit for verification are stored in our verification database to support billing accuracy, audit, idempotency, and the features you use. Specifically:
- Single verifications (real-time API calls): the email address and its result are retained until you request deletion or close your account
- Suppression-list entries: retained until you remove them from your suppression list
- Server logs: verification requests (including the email address) may appear in our access-controlled operational logs, which are retained for a limited operational period
Email addresses are stored in plaintext (not hashed) within our infrastructure and encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3). You can request deletion of your account and all associated email-address data at any time by emailing support@bouncehalt.com.
2.3 Website Analytics
We collect anonymized analytics data including page views, referral sources, browser type, and device information. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.
2.4 Cookies
We use essential cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data Retention
We retain different categories of data for different periods:
- Account information (name, email, billing): retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account closure. Financial records may be retained longer where required by tax or accounting law.
- Verified email addresses (single API calls): retained until you request deletion or close your account
- Suppression-list entries: retained until you delete them
- Server and request logs: retained for a limited operational period
- Idempotency keys: 24 hours (used to prevent duplicate billing on retried requests; do not contain plaintext email addresses)
